About Us
Indigo Bird represents the combined efforts of a passionate and talented group of people from both the public and private sectors who are determined to find a grassroots solution to ongoing emergent crises, such as natural disasters caused by wildfire or flooding, response to a migrant crisis, or migration due to legal changes impacting access to healthcare services.
Our team is comprised of individuals with deep industry expertise in crisis response as well as the software development space. We have a network of supporters lending their expertise in crisis response, community development, software engineering, and more.
Indigo Bird was first dreamed up by an employee of a major non-profit organization who believes that immediate relief is better managed at the community level during emergent crises. We simply need to offer the tools to help communities gather, coordinate, and respond.
